The CIO oversees campus IT planning, current projects, security, policy, research computing and communication between college and department IT offices. Several campus technology advisory groups also work with the CIO.
The Office of the CIO is actively engaged in bringing the IT resources of this campus together to achieve service excellence. This is a massive effort which starts with identifying, as a campus, what our priorities are. The current IT Strategic Planning Process is an attempt to do just that.
Together, with the help of our Advisory Groups, the CIO Office is working to define these shared priorities, align resources to support them, foster a culture of both collaboration and communication within the IT community, and deliver IT services that help us deliver on the Wisconsin Idea.
