University Assessment Funds
Funding for 2013–14
DUE DATE: Monday, May 13, 2013
Examples of proposals funded using University Assessment Funds
This annual call for proposals makes assessment funds available primarily to academic units that are using assessment outcomes to improve student learning. Although support for academic program assessment is a primary focus, we also recognize that integrative assessment efforts that address the academic goals within the context of co-curricular programs are also important. Funds are limited and are intended to be a catalyst for promoting and establishing assessment activities, rather than an ongoing source of support. Successful proposals to assess a program, or elements of a program (degree, major, course sequencing, etc.), will include:
1) identification of learning goals/outcomes
2) a description of assessment activities and indicators of learning (How will you know that students are achieving these learning goals/outcomes?), and
3) an explanation of how you will use results to change or improve the program.
Please discuss your ideas with your University Assessment Council representative.
